Digital patient consent

Consent forms that are never lost in a folder.

With digital patient consent in OctoMediCare, patients read and acknowledge consent documents on a tablet. Each completed form is stored against the patient and the visit, ready for the doctor before the procedure starts.

  • Consent and acknowledgement on a tablet
  • Stored against the patient and the visit
  • Arabic and English forms
  • Less paper to print, sign and scan

The problem

Paper consent is slow to collect and hard to find later.

Consent matters most when someone needs to check it, and that is exactly when paper lets you down.

  • Forms stored far from the record

The signed form sits in a binder at reception while the patient's chart is on the doctor's screen.

  • Missing forms before a procedure

The doctor is ready to start, and nobody can confirm whether the consent was completed.

  • Printing and scanning

Staff print, collect, scan and file each form, and the scan is often unreadable.

  • The wrong language

Patients are handed a form in a language they are less comfortable reading.

What you get

Consent that fits into the visit, not around it.

  • Tablet-based consent

Patients complete consent and acknowledgement forms on a tablet instead of paper.

  • Linked to patient and visit

Each document is stored against the patient record and the specific visit it belongs to.

  • Arabic and English

Offer forms in the language the patient reads most comfortably.

  • Part of check-in

Consent can be collected straight after QR registration, before the patient reaches the doctor.

  • Recorded activity

Completion of each form is recorded in the visit's audit trail with the time and staff member.

  • Less paper

Fewer forms to print, scan and file, and no binders to search through later.

Why it matters

Doctors see the consent status before they begin.

For procedures such as laser sessions, aesthetic treatments or dental work, the treating doctor can check in the visit that the right consent document has been completed.

Managers no longer depend on paper folders, and patients get a clearer, calmer moment to read what they are agreeing to, in their own language.

  • Consent status visible in the visit
  • Forms found in seconds, not in a binder
  • Clearer reading experience for patients
  • Fewer printing and scanning tasks for staff

Your forms, your wording.

OctoMediCare stores consent documents and records when they were completed. Each facility decides the content of its consent forms and how they are used, so your medical director can keep the wording you already rely on.

Frequently asked questions

Can we use our existing consent forms in digital patient consent?

Your consent documents are based on the wording your facility already uses. We will show how forms are set up on the tablet during the demo.

Is a consent completed on the tablet accepted in place of paper?

That is a decision for your facility and its medical director. OctoMediCare stores the completed document against the patient and visit, with the time it was completed.

Can patients complete consent forms in Arabic?

Yes. OctoMediCare works in Arabic and English, so patients can read the form in the language they prefer.

Where can a doctor find a patient's consent later?

In the patient's record, under the visit it belongs to. Doctors and staff with access can find it without searching paper files.

Replace the consent binder at your reception.

We will show a patient completing a consent form on a tablet and the doctor seeing it in the visit, in Arabic and English.
